From the creators of NOD32 antivirus product we are now presented with ESET Smart Security protection suite (with NOD32's antivirus protection included).

The protection itself features a real-time file-system and Internet monitor, scans for Microsoft Office documents and Outlook e-mail, and numerous secondary threat-detection tools (the "ThreatSense Scanning Engine". ESET makes its presence known only if something suspicious, like coming across a virus in a user download, gets its attention.

One of its attributes is ‘discretion’, most of the time the application running quietly, with the virus data base updating itself by default, without any prompting needed. You can be notified if any new sets of program updates have been applied by a pop-up balloon included in the program's tray icon.
